We are learning to write our high frequency words

As part of our reading tumble, we write our word of the week on our whiteboards. Here I am practising the word 'in' on my whiteboard.

"I can write the word "in" by myself" said Skyla. 

We are learning to count forwards from any number up to 20

We are learning to recognise numbers between 1 to 20.
We are learning to order numbers between 1 to 20.

"I know that number 12 comes after number 11" said Skyla.

Greedy Cats

Last week we were reading the big book "Greedy Cat".  To follow on from this we decided to create our own cat faces for art.  Students had to look carefully at size and position as they sketched their cat faces onto paper.  Look at the great results!

My Writing

Skyla, look what  you can do with the help of a Teacher! With support you can recognise the basic words and you are beginning to use the alphabet sounds to spell longer/unfamiliar words. You have learnt how to use finger spaces, capital letters and full stops in your writing too. Keep up the great work!
